Don, You are so rivght, they must think we are mind readers or something. It is something we all need to think about doing. I remember being in the genealogy library in Houston about the time the movie "Roots" came out. I heard a women come to the first desk and told the girl there, I am so and so from Ala., give me the book my family is in. Thought the place would come unglued laughing, she got mad and stalked out. We are not making fun of you, but you need to give more information in your requests. I have been at this off and on for about 32 years now. And I am no where close to being finished. You never are. Since everyone is making a big deal out of it she is from Ky. I post mainly to Ky lists where it is not necessary for a state since it is a list for the county of the state they were from. At least I list as much info as I can. MekongRiver38744@aol.com wrote:Don, You are so rivght, they must think we are mind readers or something. It is something we all need to think about doing. Whoa! Ease up there folks! Shelly had been posting these queries on the KY lists and forgot to add the state/county when she posted to this list. I don't know who Chris thinks "they" are, but the first (and probably only) of you who has never sent a vague or misleading query, please stand up and cast your stone. Otherwise, perhaps a less catty tone could be taken to ask for more information. Frankly, given the names, I suggest that you'd recognize them if they were yours, regardless of origin. I did, but then, they really are on my shirttails. Now, back to my rocking chair.
