    3. DEar Nichole, I am sorry to say I can't help you on your direct request. But I just want you and the rest of the list to know that I am researching the Parks family in NC as well. My earliest confirmed ancestor is Moses Parks who settled in Sommerville, TN. But he was born in 1821 NC, and his parents as well were born in NC, according to the 1880 census there. Our family "story" has been that we descend from a Revolutionary War soldier named Hugh Parks, who was granted land in NC after the war, and then he settled and had descendants. This is the line that I am working on presently. I have plenty of documentation for TN, but in NC I am still searching. So I can't yet say the EXACT location we started with in NC. Keep me in mind for any NC Parks families, after the Rev. War, and especially any HUGH or MOSES Parks.
