For a moment I thought that might be my great grandfather Silas, but his middle name was Samuel. Silas Samuel Parks born 1849 in Michigan. Married Lucinda Slaten, had 6 children, Newton, John, Charlie, Ola, Etta and Daisy. He died in Los Angeles in 1908 of a brain tumor and his death certificate said his father's name was John B.
