Hi! If my guess that Jonas is a misreading of the name Jonathan in the Pomfret records, then there may be another solution. Please look at Jonathan, the son of Richard, who was married to Mary Whiting. This is the family out of the Parke of Massachusetts. And, it is believed that Jonathan and Mary were in CT before going to NY. So if your Jonas was in NY, you might want to look at this family.
