Sherrie, This may or may not be an explanation, but..... I have the same problem with our James Parks of Fayette Co., PA and Belmont Co., OH. He married around 1800 to an Elizabeth Davis or Boyd. Their second son is named Jonathan Davis Parks; however in the History of Upper (Lower?) Ohio Valley Jonathan is featured in an article from Belmont Co. as having parents James Parks and Elizabeth Boyd. To make matters worse three of eight children have the middle initial of "B". We have speculated that perhaps Elizabeth with the maiden name of Davis was married to a Boyd for a short time before marrying James Parks. Or perhaps she was Elizabeth Boyd Davis. Who knows? This is not intended to be an answer, but it may be something for you to think about. Sandy
