I have found 3 possible connections: In 1870, Noble Twp., Wabash Co., IN, there's a listing for the family of Courtney and Julia PARKES. He is 46, born in VA., and she is 34, born in OH. The children listed with them are: Franklin, 12; Francis, 10; Alice, 8; Roszella, 6; Edward, 3; and Henry, 1.(all born in IN) Maybe Benjamin was old enough to be working on neighbor's farm?? In 1900, Noble Twp., Wabash, Julia Parks is listed as Mother-in-law, living with the family of Jacob and Rosa (Roszella?) Rich. Jim Parks posted a message today (PARKS Brickwall), in which he makes mention of a John COURTNEY Parks..... I wonder if there's any connection to your Courtney?
