My Grandmother told me the name was Edward Andrew for my Grandfather. She said that his father's name was James Oliver, but she could have mixed up the names with her grandfather who was Colbert James Simmons. She mixed up other names, no one but me ever asked for names or where people came from and it had been 30+ years since my grandfather died when I asked. My grandmother said that my grandfather Edward Andrew Parks came from Middledge, Georgia and went to college in Athens, Georgia. So far I have not found him in any of the colleges' records.
