I am looking for the parents and siblings of Aaron Parks -- born c. Oct 1764 in Norwich, CT. He enrolled in the Rev War from Ashford, CT where he was then residing. In Sept 1785 he married Rachel Walker [desc of "Widow" Walker of Rehoboth] and by 1790 they resided in Sudbury, Rutland Co., VT. Rachel died 19 Aug 1804 and by 1806 Aaron and family were in Malone, Franklin Co., NY. Aaron volunteered for the War of 1812 along with other Malone veterans in a group called the Silver Greys. We know that Aaron was still alive in March 1848 and was then living in the home of his son, Aaron, in Constable. Pension records do not indicate where he died or when. I have not been able to find a DAR gravesite [any volunteers for lookups?]. Rachel's gravesite indicates that she was the widow of Capt. Aaron Parks -- we think that the Capt. refers to the Vermont Militia. I am not certain where he married Rebecca -- she was evidently a widow with a daughter, Myra, who was adopted by Aaron, but they were married c. 1805/1807. I would also like to know about the Parks who, alsong with Timothy Miller, Thomas Ketcham and John Gage, was one of the founders of Sudbury -- I think it likely that this Parks was a relative of Aaron's. There is also the mystery of Susan Prescott b. c. 1801 and who is identified as Aaron's daughter. She is always referred to as "Susan Prescott" and we do not know if the Prescott is a middle name or a surname; it is not a married name. Parks/Walker children's names: Orrille, Ebenezer Walker, Sabrina, Mary "Polly", Alanson, Aaron, [Susan Prescott], Carlton. Parks/Rebecca .... children's names: Orinda, Harry C., Hiram P. Other tidbits: We believe that there is great confusion on Rachel and Dolly -- some records indicate Aaron married Dolly -- we think Dolly was Rachel's sister. We think Aaron's father served in the Rev War also -- but this is from a grandson's bio 100 years later. Any links -- parents, siblings, good rumors?? Cheryl
