His grandfather was Samuel PARK, who lived in the NY Hudson river valley and served in the 159th NY during the Civil War. Sam's GG- or G-father was also a Samuel PARK who was said to have fought in the Revolutionary War. Alexander married an Alcott from the famous literary family in about 1898 in Hudson, NY.
