Parks b April 1851 married Lula Tucker abt 1880 nine children Lizzie b 12-1880 John b 11-1882 Tina b-12-1884 Mack Washington b-3-1887 d 7-1932 Maud b-8-1889 Early b 10-1883 Nettie b 2-1897 Leona b 5-1889 They lived in Athens Ga. in 1900, I believe the initials JW stood for John William because he had a son named John and a grandson later was named John William. My granddad Mack Washington Parks had nine children of which only two (the youngest) still live today, but only remember their Uncle Earl. The 1909 Athens City directory listed Maud and Nettie still living and working in that town as well as Earl. The 1912 directory showed Earl and nettie still around but no Maud. By the time the 1920 directory came only Mack remained in the area, Whether some sickness or work related reason took them away is a mystery to me. The 1912 directory is the last entry I have of JW as well. hed have been 61 in 1912. They were primarily mill workers and worked at the Southern Manufactoring Co, and the Athens Manufactoring Co back then. I dont believe either mill is around today. If anyone has any links to this Parks branch of the tree id apreciate it greatly. I have a pretty detailed list of Mack Washington siblings and their desandants as well if anyone wants them.
