    1. [PARKS] roll call: Story Park and sons
    2. I have a good history of my Park family from 1815 to the present, but I am not sure at all about the parents or spouse of my ggg grandfather Story Park, who was born in 1777 in South Carolina. I believe that his father was Joseph Park II and that his mother's maiden name was Phebe or Sarah Bayless. I believe his grandmother was Rebecca Story who married Joseph Park I and that Story himself married a Dugan, but I have no proof. Apparently the family headed west after 1823 and ended up on the border of Mississippi and Alabama. Story had 3 sons and 5 daughters as follows: Joseph W. m. Mary (Polly) Jennings in Tuscaloosa, Al 1841 John Bailus (Bayless) m. Huldah Jane Jennings (sister of Polly) in Tusc. 1840 Anthony Thomas m. Epsa ?? Patsy m. ??Browning Dolly Lucretia m. Isaiah Hines Lucy m. Barr Mary Dugan M. Isaiah Hines after the death of Lucretia My gg grandfather was John Bailus. Bailus and Huldah had two sons before he died in MS. Huldah took the two boys, Joseph W. Park and James Knox Polk Park, first to Greene County, Al, then to Tuscaloosa, the community of Ralph, where she raised them. Both served in the Civil War. Polk, my g grandfather, married Julia A. Hickman in Tuscaloosa. Polk served as tax assessor of Tusc. Co. for 16 years, and had the first Buick dealership in Tuscaloosa. The children of Polk and Julia were: Oakley Knox, Houston, Stella, Virgil, Manly Oscar, and Mattie Jane. My grandfather was Oakley Knox Park. If anyone has any information about Story Park, or any other of these relatives, I would love to hear from you. Kaye Park Hinckley, Dothan, AL
