Thank you Cheryl for your time and efforts. I have no problem finding Palmyra Lewis and have her genealogy back to Rhode Island. Rufus Parks is the missing link. I found the Rufus from Brunswick on Ancestry (can't imagine why I didn't see him before). I suppose he could have been Charles' father. Whoever my Rufus is he was either married or was 'passing through town'. I doubt I will ever know unless we could find a DNA match.
