Elijah Clark identifies him as a member of the Continental Line Brigade.Battles that he may have been in were:Battle of Kettle Creek on 14 Feb.1779,Battle of Brier Creek on Mar.3,1779,Siege of Augusta from April of 1781-June of 1781.The only bro.that served with Charles1 & 2 was John. Charles 1 was m.to a lady named Susanna & they had 3 sons,Charles2,John & Reuben.Charles1 was b.abt1716 in Essex Co.Va. & d 1784 in Elbert Co.
