I received papers from the funeral home on my great grandmother. Following is the info. Mrs. J. W. Miles died January 9, 1927 at Sturat, Oklahoma. She is buried at Ward Springs Cemetery. She was born in Georgia Oct 2, 1854. Father was William Brock born in Georgia, and her mothers last name was Addaway born in Georgia. Can anyone help me with the Brock or Miles names. Others moved to Mena Arkansas and then to Oklahoma. My grandmother was Mary Elezibeth Miles and married a Tom Parks in Mena, Arkansas Dec 16, 1900. As of yet I do not know if the Parks family was ever in Georgia or not. Tom Parks died Dec 1924 in Gertie, Oklahoma. He left children William, Wayne, Morris, Irene, and Allie. Allie died May 1925. All the familly stayed in Oklahoma accept Irene who went to Arizona and returned to Oklahoma after her husband died, and William who moved to Kansas City, Missouri for 10 years and then to the Denver, Colorado until he died in 1995.
