I am looking for my Great Great Grandma Effie Parks-Hicks can anyone help? Thank You ~ Mary Ann
Sure. But, it seems that my Parks popped out of nowhere right in the middle of the huge Park/e/s family in the area of Preston, CT about 1764. No records, nowhere. Married about September 1785 - no records anywhere. But, I do have a lot of records from when he was in the Rev War from 1781 to end of War; then again from 1790 to 1807 in Vermont, and then from about 1810 to 1848 in Malone, Franklin County, NY. But, no birth, no marriage [1st or 2nd], no death, no children's baptism records. Aaron Parks - who were you? At 09:03 PM 6/21/02 -0700, you wrote: >Does no body have any question they want answered?

Hello, all. For your information: Subject: [IMPORTANT] RootsWeb Upgrading to New Servers Beginning Monday, 10 June 2002, RootsWeb will begin the complex and time-consuming process of upgrading our servers to new hardware. o What does this mean for you? Well, it means some servers will be unavailable during this time and we are asking for your patience. For up-to-date information about the different resources, you can visit http://helpdesk.rootsweb.com/ as the move progresses. o Web Pages: FTP will be down so that changes can't be made to pages until everything is working correctly on the new servers. There will be a short time that the pages will not be available as the transfer takes place. o Mailing Lists: When the time comes to move list servers, we will be halting operation on the machine to complete the move. We expect to have the machines down the least amount of time possible. No mail will be sent from or posted to your mailing lists. We do not expect to lose any messages. o Message Boards: Nothing, unless your board happens to be gatewayed to a mailing list then the information for list administrators apply. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we go through a few "growing pains." - RootsWeb Staff -- Tammie Chada tchada@mmcable.com Logan County, Oklahoma OK Logan Gen Web: http://www.rootsweb.com/~oklogan/oklogan.htm Co-State OK Archivist: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/okfiles.htm Co- Project Manager Oklahoma Tombstone Project: http://www.rootsweb.com/~cemetery/oklahoma.html Co-Coordinator Oklahoma Obits: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/obits/obitsok.htm
Roy; About a month ago I wrote asking about Joseph Parks in Kingston/Poughkeepsie, New York. You were kind enough to offer help in research in that area. Would you please contact me again as I am planning to be in the area and hoping you might give me some help on some basic research in Albany/Kingston area. Thanks, Virginia The family was in Kingston according to 1900 census and we believe at least 2 maybe three of the children were born in Kinston.

Ms. Bartee, I am reorganizing my genealogy after a twenty year plus leave of absence. My Lydia Ann Parks married Charles Henry Drake in Pollock , La. in 1899. She was an orphan. Her father was William Parks and her mother Ann Knapp Parks. I will keep your query and as I do my research, I will have your information. That is how I have made my other pines tie in together. Thank you for contacting me. Please keep me up to date. and your query will always be in my Parks file. A friend of mine said that she was told that this virus is a hoax. I guess deleting the file is what messes up your computer. You may want to check it out. Hello, all. Please do not send virus warnings to the list. If you think you have one, please contact me at tchada@mmcable.com Thanks. This is somewhat off the subject of genealogy, but just as we are advised to take the accuracy of genealogical information found online with a grain of salt, the same applies to other topics such as virus alerts. Acting on them oneself is a personal decision, but please take the time to investigate something before passing it along to others. There are plenty of sites available to check whether they are hoaxes, and it the responsible thing to do. Though your motives are admirable, please act responsibly before warning others of a nonexistent danger. This virus hoax has been around the block more than a few times.
this is a hoax if you go to SARC it mentions it. The file and the icon are perfectly fine. I too deleted it and found out later I shouldn't have Karen
