Would you share with us what your grandmother told you about Nancy and Sarah Lewis Parks? From the dates of birth, it looks like Nancy passed away before 1850. My Cansada was born on Jan 14 1844. Thomas was born September 1843. This came from one of his descendants in a letter. I do not know what his source was. Cansada's date is on her headstone. Wonder if those marriage certificates still exsist? Would they be in Searcy Ark or Hickman Co. Tn? According to Parks Society files shows that Permilia died in 1795. What is the source of this death date? I believe she didn't die until 1855. Either her death date is wrong or the marriage to Charles Collett is wrong because the Permelia Park he married is listed with him in the 1850 census. Hope someone can help. Thanks. Hello, I am researching this line too. I am needing information on the wives of Daniel J. Parks that was the s/o Theopholeus Parks. They were Nancy Lewis and Sarah Lewis. Linda I also like pictures if anyone will share pictures that they have of this line. I would appreciate it. Especially of Daniel's daughter Cansada. ----- Original Message ----- From: <davcel080@aol.com> To: <PARKS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, October 05, 2002 9:00 AM Subject: Re: [PARKS] Thomas Parks/Sarah Miller > Dear Dixie, > > My husband, DAvid L. I am still finding info on my family. We were in Ohio in the 1825, but I am not sure for how long. It was in Licking County, Ohio. All I have info on at present is John Parks during that time. I am sure he had siblings but I have not confirmed any names as of yet. I have uploaded some 400 names that are in our family. It will take about 3 months for this info to become available. I marred a Baker. That is how I am connected to the Baker's. I was a Parks. If I run across any names that match the ones you sent me I will try to get back to you. Thanks, Katherine
I have Baker's in my family? They are from West Virginia. Carolynne D. Fred, I wonder how many PARKS have BAKER in their family. I have a third cousin that is a BAKER. Where does your family come from? I wonder if we are connected. Ours is Lewis Raymond BAKER who married Freda Edith PARKS in 1921. They lived in Noble Co., OH. There were five sons. The family comes from southeast OH. Does this sound familiar at all? Sandy
