    2. Dixie Pace
    3. Hi Linda Bowden & Everyone! How is everyone? We've been talking alot about Nancy & Sarah & Daniel & I really think that Mary Clark is right. That's the only thing that makes sense to me.The kids birthdates are too close for Nancy to have been all those kids mom except for 3 of them.Of course that puts my Malindah Susan being the daughter of Sarah & Daniel instead of Nancy & Daniel, but that's alright too!we were always told Nancy was her mom but you know how stories get turned around in time.Linda, I have Thomas Boyd Parks b.Sept08,1842 in Wiley's Cove Twp.in Searcy Co. Ark. & d. May 22,1912 in Agatha,I.D. & no wife that I know about.Cansada was b. June14,1844 in Wiley's Cove Twp.in Searcy Co. Ark.I don't have a death date on her but she might have m. someone named Thompson because I have her listed as m. to somebody Thompson. Happy Hunting Everybody!! 3. Hi Dixie and Judy, I have been reading what you have been saying on Thomas Parks and Sarah Miller. I believe that I descend from them as well, but of course I have no proof only hunches or feelings if you will. However, my questions to you concern Samuel. I had my line as follows: Samuel Parks, b. abt 1712 no wife Samuel Parks, b. abt 1734 again no wife Reuben Parks, b. 1750, no wife Moses Parks Sr, b. 10 Jan 1780, Wilkes Co., NC wife Nancy Davis, b. 1778, NC. From here on I have documentation. Moses Parks JR, b 23 Sep 1806, Witley Co., KY, wife Lucinda Nausler, b 1820, TN. William Carl Parks, b 1852, IA, wife Celia E. Morton Rex Lewis Junior Parks, b. 1901, Hill Coty, KS, wife Caroline Roos, b. 1901, Amherst, NE Vernon Parks, b. 1920, Grand Junction, CO, wife Kathryn Bajin, b. 1922, Gary, IN Then me. I don't know that you needed to have my line, but I gave it to you anyway. My questions is if you know of any Reubens born to Samuel or if you find any Reubens coming from Samuel to please let me know? I have been searching for information on my Reuben and haven't gotten anywhere in years. I have it on family here say that Reuben's Father was Samuel. So any information on either or any Samuels would be helpful as well. It seems like from my Moses back they just disappeared. I am happy to give you any information I may have in my database on any Parks line, but I don't have much from Moses back. Thank you for any help or any assistance. Regards, Ron Parks Pensacola, Fl skraprl@cox.net

    1. [PARKS] PARKS in Vermont
    2. Lowell Tennyson
    3. I've been reading with interest all the messages about the PARKS family who were in the southern states. My PARKS line started in Vermont, at least as far back as I've been able to go. Peter Glick PARKS and brother Silas Leonard PARKS were born in Vermont. We believe their father was a John PARKS but quite obviously that was a very common name in the PARKS clan! Peter married Charlotte LAMB about 1825 in Broome Co., New York and had five children there: Janette, Jerome, Jane, Lozetta, Lucinda and Minerva. James was born in Michigan. Oscar, Morris, Aurilla, Nathan and Peter were born in Illinois. Peter and Silas both migrated to Michigan but Peter then moved on to Illinois, settling in McHenry county about 1841. Peter then moved to Larmar, Barton Co., MO some time before dying there in 1891. Allied names are NUGENT, CLASS, DOW, WILCOX and possibly McNALLY and McLAUGHLIN. Does anyone connect to this family??? Sandra

I hope good.I got those pics you sent me & I sure do appreciate them. They mean alot to me!!Could you please tell me who the people were in that picture with your grandma? Some of the names got cut off& I can't tell what some of them say.And I really hate to ask you this but I need you to resend that one of Daniel & Sarah because Daniel seems to have lost his head in the scanning process(lol!) The story of Nancy & Sarah Lewis Parks & Daniel Parks I hope you understand was passed down in our family from Malindah Susan(my ggreatgrandma)to her kids(my grandpa) John Sterling Jones to his wife(my grandma Jones)to my daddy & us.The story goes that Daniel married Nancy first & she d.in childbirth with Cindarilah. He was so taken by grief,he didn't know how he was going to care for their kids.Well,Sarah was full of grief too & wanted to help Daniel care for the kids so she did. They began to court & fell in love & married. At first Sarah didn't want to court Daniel because of what the people of town were saying. That Sarah & Daniel must have been seeing each other before Nancy's death. But Daniel didn't care what the people thought,he persued Sarah & they married. My grandmother said that grandpa said that Malindah Susan loved Sarah very much & Said that she had a very kind heart just like Nancy. That's the story we were told by grandma.I DO realize that if all that is accurate,it had to happen pretty fast. 3. The information I have on Permelia or Amelia Parks is that she was born 20 Apr 1773 and was married to Charles Collett who was born 5 Jul 1772. Permelia died 2 Jul 1856 and Charles died 26 Jun 1855. I obtained this information from Gen Forum.. They were on the 1800 Census of Burke Co. N. C. as having one male under 10 and two females under 10. They were also on the 1830 census of Burke County N.C.. They were lised as both being 50/60 years old and with the following children: 1 male 15/20, 2 females 20/30 and 1 female 30/40 years old. I have their children as follows: 1. Margaret Collett born 23 Jan 1795 2. Harriett Collett born ca 1796 3. Abraham Collett born 6 Dec 1798 4. Mary Collett born ca 1800 5. John Collett born ca 1803 6. James H. Collett born 10 Sep 1806 7. Rachel Collett 8. McCoy Collett 9. Thomas Collett 10. Frances Elizabeth Collett born 11 Aug 1812 This Thomas Parks was the brother to my John Parks that married Ann (last name unknown). They both were children of John and Mary Sharp Parks. I hope this helps. 2. Judy Parks
    3. Dixie, I have some info on their children also and a little bit on Sara. I have been trying to connect the dots with this family for sometime. I am interested in any info that you have on Samuel one of Thomas's sons. My side is either from Samuel 1 or Samuel 2. My husbands ggg grandfather was Alexander Parks married to Elizabeth Leach (Orange Cty, NC) 1806. We feel very sure that one of these Samuels is his father but have not been able to link to which one. Samuel2 had a brother Alexander, and Samuel1 had a son Alexander. Samuel1 could have been his father late in life.Any help would be appreicated.
