Liz I am afraid that I had no idea whether there is a relationship. The Robert Parke MA 1630 branch is a very large branch and only two descendants are known to have come to Canada - James and Cyrenius in 1784. They fought on the side of George III in the American Revolution. Unless you have Canadian roots any relationship would not be very close. I am still searching for the loose block in the proverbial brick wall. Hope someone has a connection! My gr-grandfather was William W. Parks, born about 6-4-1820 in Georgia. He married Margaret A. Maddox (sp?). She was born 1-18-1825 also in Georgia. They had 6 children (all in Jasper County, GA): Lycurgus Osgood, 10-24-1847 - 8-2-1931 Sarah Elizabeth, 12-2-1848 - 11-8-1914 John Courtney, 2-7-1851 - 5-30-1915 Margaret Ophelia, 1-21-1853 - 10-17-1934 Samuel Clark, 1-19-1854 - 10-31-1935 Hasseltine C., about 1860 - after 1900 They were in Jasper County in 1850 and 1860 Census. Moved to Union County, AR about 1867. William was a Mason (Ashler Lodge, Jasper County and Mt. Moriah Lodge, Union County). He died 10-17-1884 (had a Masonic funeral) and she died 10-2-1902. WW, MA and 4 of their children are buried in Salem Cemetery between Smackover and Lisbon. The cemetery is fairly close to land that they settled and farmed. Jim Parks Little Rock, AR

Hi Barbara, I don't see a connection with my PARKS families although I would love to claim you! ;-) Thanks for the note -- somewhere along the way, we will find our connections. Sandra
Dear Sherry and Lowell, Perhaps I can be of some help to you in your research of the Parks/Gee connection. (I know nothing about the name Hawley) I am the only natural grandaughter of Roy Austin Parks (he had step-children and step-grandchildren) who was born July 30, 1894 in Ottumwa, Wapello County, Iowa (he was one of four children) On October 6, 1912, he married my grandmother, Alice Blanche Smith (I wont go into her stats at this point) and on January 7, 1933, they were divorced. Roy and Alice had only one child, my mother, Sylvia Millicent Parks, born June 13, 1915 in Lewiston, Nez Perce County, Idaho. My mother married my father, Eugene Edward Fulmer, 1n 1931 in Lewiston. Eugene, or Bud, as he was always called, and Sylvia had two children: Robert Eugene Fulmer, born March 30, 1933 in Pomeroy, Washington and myself, Barbara Lynette Fulmer, born April 23, 1935. Roy remarried Ethel Helen Roberts (her married name from a previous marriage - I don't know her maiden name) and they lived in Seattle until their respective deaths. My brother, Robert (Bob) married Eileen Marie Larson and they had two children: Robert Chris Fulmer and Polly Mistina Fulmer, born May 26, 1961 in Kent, King County, Washington. Mistina (doesn't use the name Polly) married Kenneth Dale Parker on June 16, 1978 in Grants Pass, Benton County, Oregon. They had two children: Randy Parker (to my knowledge, Randy doesn't have a middle name) born January 19, 1980 and Daniel Keith Parker born December 13, 1981; both born in Grants Pass. Randy married Irene Kristin Gee on August 7, 2002 in Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon. Kristin's parents are Daniel Gee and Denise (don't have her maiden name) Gee. I hope that this information is useful to you. As yet, I haven't created a Family Web Page but hope to do so soon. Email me if I can be of further help. I have not encountered the name of Hulda in my PARKS database, but some of my PARKS line settled in King Co., Washington. Interesting -- there must have been relatives there when my families arrived. Sandra
