Hi Everyone; Just got back from vacation so a little behind but here goes. I'm just new at the game of family research so my line hasn't gone back very far yet...here's what I have. My great grandfather's name was George Frederick Middleton Parke born April 26, 1885 in Moosamin SK (at that time it was the Assiniboine Territory) Canada. He had 6 sibblings: Jim b. Nov 1,1881 Jack b. 1882 Lil b. 1887 Billy d at age of 2 Lindsay Roland. I don't know anything more about these people then what is here. I don't know the names of their parents other then Great Great Grandfather came from Ireland and married a woman in Goderich, Ont from "Loyalist stock." My Parks' line begins with Eleanor Parks born about 1703 of Williamsburg, James City, Virginia. She married Captain John Shelton who was born abt. 1700 of Rural Plains, Hanover, Virginia (he is the son of William Shelton and Hannah Armistead). I show that her father was William Parks born abt. 1683, and that he died at Sea on 1 April 1750. I show that Eleanor's mother was also named Eleanor, but have no maiden name for her. My most wanted Parks ancestor is Syrel Parks. He married to Lucretia Moore on 02/01/1838 in Greene County. They had a son named Terrell Parks in 1844 (1846) in Pittsfield, ILL After the Civil War, Terrell went to KS and married Jennie Coulbourne on 01/13/1888. He had two more sons Stephen S. JORDON same date (born 1859; died 1939) buried in the HULL Cemetery in Vigo County, IN, but do not find his wife Lilliam(n) Amy Park Jordon listed there. There are only 4 other Jordons buried there. No PARK/PARKS I also checked the other cemeteries I have been transcribing -- Quaker, Prairieton and New Harmony and found no Jordon or Park/Parks at Quaker or Prairieton.
