Thomas Park/Parks living in Washington/Allegheny County 1790's as evidenced by deed info. Possibly same Thomas who serves in War of 1812 from Beaver County. Wife is Mary, in 1830's is listed in Beaver Cty tax lists, and sells some property to James Park for a minimal amount. I suspect James is his son. James, born about 1798, is married to Sarah (possibly Mathews). Has children William, Thomas, Margaret and Mary born in the 1830's. William and Thomas serve in the Civil War. Thomas remains in Western PA, marries Stella McKinley with daughters Laura and Minnie. William goes off to Ohio, marries Leigha Sheward. I don't know what happens to the two girls. James and Sarah are on the 1850 Beaver Cty census. Any connections anyone? Any help is greatly appreciated- I'd love to definitively connect James to his parents, and find out Sarah's maiden name. Have been reading all the rollcall responces and i think it is very exciting except for that i think i belong to the wrong list, well not really the wrong one but Parks is very distant.... I know that Parke, Park, Parks etc. probably come from very similiar places but all i have been reading about is Parks the last couple of days....... I have found many Parks went north to Canada in the early days........ There are Two very big and very well documented families with the name Parke, which is what i descend from, One is Robert which i dont descend from but i do know that Princess Diana, Huphrey Bogart, and Orville and Wilbur Wright did descend from Robert....... The other is Roger Parke, which is my line that came to america in 1682.... Actually with help from many others and the Parke Society i have this line to 1537. is there another rootsweb list that is for Parke or is it part of this one? all i have seen is Parks........? Well, since we're having a roll call, I'm researching William PARKS, b. about 1820 in Kentucky, who married Mary Ann HOOD in Warren County, Kentucky on 1 Sept 1845. Mary Ann HOOD was the daughter of Wiley HOOD and Amelia (Milly) ROW, married 13 Nov 1821 in Warren County, Kentucky. I know the Rows and the Hoods were from eastern Kentucky.
