    3. Thank you Paulette, I'm new and haven't gotten many responses to my queries. Possibly because the line is quiet right now. I have one suggestion as I read queries from others. Usually there are only VERY SMALL bits and pieces or answers to questions we didn't receive at all. It would be helpful if queries AND responses contained a few main ingredients, or at least those known. Surnames: Name, Birth, Death, Migration route: Marriage, Children Other: Example: PARKS/CARPENTER of Taney Co. MO Margaret (Parks? possibly) Born Sept.1858 MO - Died between 1900-1910 Migration: Margaret's Parents were born in TN>MO may also have lived in AR Married: Henry Carpenter 1877, they lived mostly in Taney County, MO Children: Samuel, John, Bert, Harrison, Ione, Dora, Clint, Nison, and Hobert Other: Sisters to Margaret may have been Catherine E. PARKS (age 18 in 1880) married to Thomas STOKES and younger sister Mary A. PARKS (age 15 in 1880) of Scott Twn. Taney Co, MO. Please send responses to [email protected] THANKS TO EVERYONE!!!! ---------- > From: Paulette Williams <[email protected]> > To: [email protected] > Subject: [PARKS] To All Parks Cousins > Date: Friday, February 11, 2000 2:41 AM > > This list has been very quiet for the past couple of weeks. 3. Susan, We have a Sally Parks (Sally being a frequent nickname for Sarah), unknown birth date, daughter of Robert Parks and Unknown Burdick. Siblings include a Robert Harrison Parks. Some of the siblings were born in Greenup Co. KY, but then the family was in VA, what is now Wayne Co., WVA. The siblings for whom I have birth dates were born around or after 1815, but given many twenty year maternity spans, could certainly include a sister that much older. Seems this could be a match. What do you think? 3. My Grandmother told me the name was Edward Andrew for my Grandfather. She said that his father's name was James Oliver, but she could have mixed up the names with her grandfather who was Colbert James Simmons. She mixed up other names, no one but me ever asked for names or where people came from and it had been 30+ years since my grandfather died when I asked. My grandmother said that my grandfather Edward Andrew Parks came from Middledge, Georgia and went to college in Athens, Georgia. So far I have not found him in any of the colleges' records. Any help you could give would be appreciated. Sandi [email protected] wrote: > Sandi, > Do you have any siblings listed for Edward. If you can help please e-mail Frances: NAME: Frances Fortune EMAIL: [email protected] DATE: Feb 01 2000 QRYTEXT: Seeking information re: William "Billy" Parks. He gives his age as 21, born in Arkansas when he married on 17 December 1932 to Ruby Trainer in Crowder, Pittsburg County,Oklahoma. Daughter,Myrtle, born 19 December 1933, however Ruby and William had seperated many months prior to that and he had gone to Oklahoma County, Oklahoma with other members of the Parks family... William filed for divorce and on 19 December 1934 in District Court, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma it was granted, stating that in six months it would be final. Divorce says many gave testimony and witness re:divorce..however I have been unable to get whatever papers those are. The Court keeps sending the same one document...(17803 D) that says it will be final in six months. Need information regarding the man...what happened to him, who were his parents etc. Any information, or ideas on obtaining further data GREATLY appreciated.
