Faye, I don't know if they are connected or not. According to the 1910 census John S. father was born in NewYork and his mother Illinois, the 1920 Census his father and mother were born in Ohio. The 1880 Census of Simion Parker has a son John Parker born 1865 (correct) father born NY(correct) mother OH (correct). They are in Boone, Dallas Co. IA just where they should be. Also according to the 1880 Census Simion Parker's father and mother were born in NY and it gives Ella Parker's father only as born in NY. I have found some Parkers buried in Prarie View cemetary in Woodward, Woodward Co. Ok. The list is for burials so i don't know if this is DOD or burial. The URL is ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/ok/woodward/vitals/deaths/burials.txt PARKER, Carl W 30 May 1964 Prarie View Chester A. 04 Feb 1998 Prarie View Chester A. Parker Jr. is listed below as having died in 1928 but something is wrong because he is listed on the 1930 Census as a 2 year old. Could it be his Birthdate? This list below is from the url shown. Only Carl, Levi and William F. are NOT my Parkers. Chester is the eldest son of John and Minnie. W. J. Bryan is the younger son. http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ok/county/woodward/prarie.txt PARKER,Chester A. 12 Oct 1889 6 Apr 1966 Oklahoma Pvt Evacuation Hosp. 9 World War I PARKER,Chester A. Parker IA>OK Mary, In my line there is a John N. Parker; b.1814 and spouse Millie Cox, b. 1815 NC He was the son of John Parker and Fannie East. John b. 1785, VA, d.1860; m. 1808 (to Fannie East) John Parker was the son of Aaron Parker, Sr., b. VA. I don't know if there was ever a connection to Iowa or OK. I don't have much info on the John N. and Millie Parker, as my line descends through Aaron Parker, Sr's son, West Parker, then his son, James Parker.
