Good Evening cousins, Our PARKER DNA project web pages are: http://web.utk.edu/~corn/parkerdna/ http://www.parkerdna.org/ We now have 118 participants in the project. Lab analysis is complete for 99 participants, and we have found 13 family groups based on DNA matches. We think the project is doing exactly what we hoped. Paper genealogies have been confirmed, paper genealogies have been contradicted, new relationships have been found, disappointment at not finding genetic relationships has been experienced. I believe more strongly than ever that everyone researching their family origins should have the DNA tested for their line (provided a suitable subject can be found). As the science progresses we expect DNA to reveal even more about our family origins. Please email Greg or I if you have questions about the project.
