Cousins: We have our first DNA match for the PARKER surname project!!! I updated our web page today: http://web.utk.edu/~corn/parkerdna/ click on 'results' to see the match. Two new test results were added, P06 and P08. The match is between P04 and P06. P04 had his line to James PARKER b 1815 TN. P06 lives in England and his oldest confirmed PARKER is William Parker 1696, the family was in Kirby on the Moor, which is in North Yorkshire, from pre 1700 to after 1900. This match was completely unexpected by both. They are both excited about it (as I am) and have started collaborating to see if they can find a link. I made a couple of other changes to the web page, replacing the 'success stories' page with something called 'DNA matches and mis-matches'.
