Jack, Thank you for replying to my inquiry. Our Parkers came from New York or Massachusetts, according to our old family legends. This is probably a brick wall that will be impossible for us to climb over. According to my father, there was a little boy swinging on a swing in NYC. An unknown member of our Parker family took him in and eventually brought him to North Carolina, GA and then Alabama. According to my Aunt Ruth Parker, there were some men on horses who rode up to our great-grandparents' house in the middle of the night. They had a baby with them who was born out of wedlock. The baby had on very expensive clothing and blankets. They asked to spend the night. The next morning they were gone. The child was still there with a number of gold coins and a note written in a European language. Of course, the note was lost and we do not have any idea who this Jewish family was. Jack, this is far out, I know, but I couldn't help but ask if any other Parker's may have heard a story akin to this one. Any responses would be most welcome. Charlene Parker
