    1. [PARKER] W.L. Parker letter from George Newman
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Parker, Newman Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/wk4.2ACEB/14162 Message Board Post: I am attempting to connect some holes in my Newman line. I found a family tree on Ancestry.com that had two pretty clear sources but no contact information. It mentioned Parker Pathways (which I am currently in the process of tracking down through the Library of Congress), but it also mentions a letter to W.L. Parker from George Newman dated October 12, 1922. I have no information on W.L. Parker or George Newman. However, the letter is in reference to Thomas Newman, b. 1744 in either Botetourt Co., Virginia or Bohemia Manor, Cecil County, Maryland, d. 1820 in Nelson County, Kentucky and who married a woman named Mary (maiden name very sketchy, could be Harden, Corcoran, or Cockeran) sometime around 1767/1770 (+/- several years). They had somewhere around 12 children (named: Jonathan, Nancy Ann, Elizabeth, Issac, Thomas M., George, Mary F., Sarah, Jacob, Lydia, Rachel and John). If anyone knows of this letter, I'd be very interested to read it! Thanks, Whitney McKim

    3. I have no knowledge of the letter you are seeking but I can tell you that Parker Pathways was a family newsletter published by Jane Parker Brown several years ago. I believe she lived in Illinois. It was fairly informal--just a way for Parker researchers to share information. I don't believe it is still being published and it is not listed in PERSI. At one time I corresponded with Jane Brown re Jonathan Pleasant Parker who married Mary F. Newman (I think she is the Mary F. you mention in your list of the children of Thomas Newman. We were unable to establish a connection to my Parker ancestor.
