    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: dornparker Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.parker/5665.1.2.1.1.2.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: well, There is a John Parker (b 1779) that moved from Rhode Island to Chenango County New York around 1800. John had a son Hiram who married Fanny Allen then moved to WI (I have found them in the Narrows Prairie Cemetery in Reedsburg, WI). Hiram had a son Ambrose who had son Frank (Frank shows up in the 1870 census). Frank had a son Neuman (or Newman) I am a bit confused about this, half the records have grandpa Parkers name spelled one way and half have it spelled the other. My dad's name was Melvin, he was Newman's son by his second wife Eloise. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. [email protected] Have any of you read the book "Parkers In America" by Augustus C. Parker? It is over 602 pages, and list Parkers from early 1600's to later times. It is very informative, for anybody with a brick wall. It is available through Heritage Request, and the LDS Genealogy way. But I under stand the Heritage is the best place.
