Payne he was born beteewn 1796 and 1802 in Davidson CO., Tennessee. He married Jane Sowell 29 Aug 1831 in Lawrence CO., Alabama. I don't know when his family moved to Alabama. They saw that James and Jane died in Lawrence CO., Alabama and is suposed to be burried at Pine Torch Cemetery, Bankhead National Forest, but I can't seem to find them burried there!!!!
