Is there any chance that your family goes back to John William Parker and Mary Jane Osborne from the northern South Carolina and Union/Mecklenburg area of North Carolina? I have been researching this family for several years. I have one of their sons as "Joseph Parker", born October 1869. He appears on the census for Chesterfield County, SC in 1870 and the Mecklenburg, NC census for 1900. Our Parker family is descended from his youngest brother, Carl Rufus Parker, born January 3, 1884 in Union County, NC. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
