Parker. I think I may have just made a connection with some other Parkers but I need someone who knows something about these other Parkers to reply and help me to connect the dots, please!! Here's the information that I have: My William C. Parker b. abt. 1817 in Al.? d. after 1860 in Ms.? md. 1st- Evelina ? in about 1836 in Al.? md. 2nd- Elizabeth Shields on Aug. 13, 1856 in Itawamba Co., Ms. I have the list of children for both marriages. Now to find his parents. I checked the 1840 census for Limestone Co., Al. and found this: Wm C Parker 1 male 10-14 yrs. 1 male 15-19 yrs. 1 male 20-29 yrs. 1 male 40-49 yrs. 1 female 40-49 yrs. Now, it's obvious that this is not my William C. Parker BUT I think it could very well be my William's father and mother and 3 brothers. It would make sense that my William C. Parker might have been named for his dad. My William is no longer in the above household (I know that he is married with at least one child by now) and is possibly the oldest son of William C. Parker of the above census. I see that there is also a Micajah Parker living in Limestone Co., Al. in 1840 and this is exciting because I have seen his name later on in Itawamba Co., Ms. where my William C. Parker lived then also! Here is the census info for Micajah: Micajah Parker 1 male 10-14 yrs. 1 male 15-19 yrs. 1 male 20-29 yrs. 1 male 50-59 yrs. Note: As I said earlier, Micajah Parker lived in Itawamba Co., Ms. later on. When I checked that 1850 Itawamba census I found THREE Micajah's there. Here is that census index: Name - Home in 1850 (City,County,State) - Estimated birth year - Birth Place Micajah Parker District 7, Itawamba , MS abt 1820 Tennessee Micajah Parker District 7, Itawamba , MS abt 1788 North Carolina Micajah Parker District 7, Itawamba , MS abt 1842 Mississippi I am assuming that the above Micajahs are father, son and grandson. By the way, nine houses down from Micajah (1840 in Limestone Co., Al.) is a Joseph P. Parker. Here's his household: Joseph P. Parker 1 male 30-39 yrs. 1 female under 5 yrs. 1 female 15-19 yrs. Note: It looks like Joseph has a much younger wife and they have one child who is a girl under 5 yrs. of age. Now, I think I have just found MY William C. Parker in 1840 in Lawrence Co., Al.: Wm. C. Parker 1 male 20-29 yrs. 2 females under 5 yrs. 1 female 20-29 yrs. I think this is definitely my William! I've noticed the ages of the children that William and Eveline had and there is quite an age space between Mariah (b. 1837 and is the first child) and Mary (b. 1842 and is the second child). This census explains that; Apparently, Mariah had a twin or a sister (who was born between 1836 and 1840) who died before the 1850 Itawamba Co., Ms. census was taken. Does any of this look familiar to anybody? Better yet, does anybody KNOW any of these Parkers?!! I would very greatly appreciate hearing from anybody who knows anything at all about any of these Parkers! Thank you so much, Karla
