My Gertrude was born on Portsmouth Island, NC, and lived there until she married and moved to New Bern, NC. As far as I can determine she never had any children. I believe she died in the late 1930's. I will continue to check however, and if I find anything that might connect them I will let you know. Thanks. Elizabeth
