The 1870 census - Elijah, 33, wheelwright, b: NC, (Emma C., 21(?), b: TN, then chil: John W., 12,b: Nc. Joseph, 9, b: NC, Albert, 6, b: NC, Charles,3, b: TN. I checked the 1860 census and he was 23 and still living with his parents in McDowellCo., NC. II don't know who the chil. b: NC could have been unless they were David's!
