Service at the Fry Funeral Home in Tipton. The rev. David Lorenzen will officiate. Pallbearers are Jay Albaugh, John Parker, David Felder, Bob Stepanek and Jeff Parker. Burial will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Mechanicsville. Mrs. Parker was born on Sept. 9, 1908 in Tipton, the daughter of Walter E. and Thetta Cook Leib. She married Howard W. Parker on May 4, 1930 in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Tipton High School in 1927 and received 1 1/2 years of nursing training. She was a homemaker and a nurses aide at the Cedar Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Tipton. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Kings Daughters. Survivors include two sons, James Parker and his wife, Roberta, of Tipton and Gerald Parker and his wife, Joan, of Abilene, Texas; two daughters, Nancy Albaugh and her husband, Ernie, of Mechanicsville and Janette Parker of Tipton; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; one brother, John Leib and his wife, Jane, of Ellenton, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1985, a son, a sister, a grandson and a brother. ================== MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Donna Maxine Parker, 81, Muscatine, died Monday, March 1, 2004, at Unity Hospital. Service at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, 2907 Mulberry Ave. The Rev. Dan Schoepf will officiate. Honorary casket bearers are Gregg Hawley, Jon Hawley, Jake Hawley, Jennifer Medina, Kody Vinson, Kylee Vinson and Paige Medina. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. A memorial has been established at the funeral home for Muscatine Senior Circle. Mrs. Parker was born Aug. 10, 1922, in Washington, the daughter of William Max and Irene Marie Edwards Lowe. She married Otto Parker Jr. May 5, 1946, in Muscatine. She graduated from high school in Iowa City in 1940. She attended A.B.I. College in Davenport. She had worked as a secretary for Grain Processing Corp. She was a homemaker until her children started school. She then worked part-time for Charlie Young while he was promoting The Great River Road. She later worked as a medical secretary for Dr. William Catalona for 15 years. After retirement she worked for a short time at the Health Center as a part-time receptionist as needed. She was a past member of the Women of the Moose Lodge. She loved her family and cherished the visits and outings they had. She was also an avid bingo player and Cubs fan. Survivors include her husband, Otto Parker Jr. of Muscatine; a son, Ronald Max Parker and wife, Vickie, of Pensacola, Fla.; a daughter, Nancy Kay Hawley and husband, Gregg, of Muscatine; grandsons, Jon Porter Hawley of Seattle, Wash., and Jacob Wayne Hawley of San Francisco, Calif.; a daughter, Debby Lynn Brower of Muscatine; a granddaughter, Jennifer Medina and her three children, twins, Kylee and Kody and daughter, Paige; and a sister, Beverly Elliott of Seminole, Fla.
