Jo, We've corresponded before on the PARKERs. 1st of all, have you consulted "The Story of the Bloods", Roger Deane Harris, privately published, 1960? I borrowed the book from a man I met at the FHC one day - who turned out to be a "cousin" in several ways. Anyway, this source might have some answers for you. I would just suggest exploring some sources addressing the other surnames such as Blood and Sawtell and see what they have to say.
