The only additional information I have is that Levi had an older sister Maggie who lived in St.Louis in her later years (probably passed away in the early 1950's) and a brother named Leander who wound up in Alaska. Levi possibly had another brother named John. The story I got from your Grandma was Levi's father was a traveling Baptist preacher. The loss of the 1890 census due to fire has been a big hangup on finding more info. Heard that Levi worked in a logging camp around New Madrid, MO while in his teens after his parents passed away.
