On 1 Jan 1829 when Samuel was 33, he married Mary MESSENGER, daughter of Henry MESSENGER & Anna WILSON. Born in 1806. They had the following children: i. Samuel Henry. Born on 27 Dec 1830. ii. Mary Ann. Born on 29 Jul 1831. iii. William Bannister. Born in 1832. BIRTH: Granville Township Book has date: 27 J-- 1832 iv. Joseph Shaw. Born on 7 NOV 1834/1835. Joseph Shaw died in unm. on 23 Mar 1876; he was 41. v. Major Messenger. Born on 7 Nov 1837. 2 vi. Albert (~1839-) vii. Sarah Moriah. Born abt 1847 in Granville, Annapolis Co., N.S. Sarah Moriah died on 24 Aug 1868 in unm. Sarah Parker d. unm. at Granville 24 Aug 1868, aged 21 yrs. The informant was Amelia Parker. viii. Alice Mabel. Born abt 1851. (CARTER) m. Nov 1865 at Granville; Walton's parents are Albert and Denice (CARTER) m. 27 Nov 1865; Farnham's parents are Albert and Lizzie D. (CARTER) m. Nov 1865; Cerena's are Albert D. and Lizzie D. (CARTER) m. 28 Nov 1864; Augustus and Hattie's are Albert D. and Lizzie D. (CARTER) m. 28 Nov 1865. On 28 Dec 1865 Albert married Elizabeth "Lizzie" CARTER, daughter of John CARTER, in (Bapt. Ch.), Granville Ferry, Annapolis Co., N.S. Born abt 1842 in Granville, Annapolis Co., N.S. Born on 8 Nov 1867 in Granville Ferry, Annapolis Co., N.S. Walton Boyd died on 6 Apr . He was listed as a clergyman at the time of marriage. On 1 Jul 1902 when Walton Boyd was 34, he married Margaret HOPKINS, daughter of Archibald HOPKINS & Hannah, in (Bapt. Ch.), Barrington, Shelburne Co., N.S.
