To all persons whom it may concern: I, Sarah Parker of the above county and State, declare the following to be my last will and testament, viz: after the payment of all my honest debt, I give and bequeath to Minerva Ellen JACKSON all my household property except my clock and one quilt, and she is also to have fifty five dollars in money out of notes that are in the hands of John CARSON. In the second place I give and bequeath all the residue of my effects of whatever nature or character, including my clock, and one compass worked quilt to John Carson, And I hereby appoint John Carson as the Executor of this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name and set my seal in the presence of two subscribing witnesses, this 6th day of February Eighteen hundred and sixty four. Signed: Sarah Parker (her mark) Attested: S. A. Smith Elam Grimes State of Indiana, Parke County -- Be it remembered, that on the 16th day of May 1865, Samuel A. Smith, one of the subscribing witnesses to the within and foregoing last Will and Testament of Sarah Parker, late of said County, deceased, personally appeared before me, Samuel Magill, Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas of Parke County, in the State of Indiana, and being duly sworn by the Clerk of said Court, upon his oath declared and testified as follows, that is to say; that on the 6th day of February A. D. 1864, he saw the said Sarah Parker sign her name to said instrument in writing as and for her last will and testament and that this deponent at the same time heard the said Sarah Parker declare the said instrument in writing to be her last will and testament, and that the said instrument in writing was at the same time at the request of the said Sarah Parker and with her consent attested and subscribed by the said S. A. Smith and Elam Grimes in the presence of the said Test! ator, and in the presence of each other as subscribing witnesses thereto, and that the said Sarah Parker, was a the time of the signing and subscribing of the said instrument in writing as aforesaid, of full age, (that is more than twenty one years of age,) and of sound and disposing mind and memory, and not under any coercion or restraint as the said deponent verily believes, and further deponent says not. State of Indiana, Parke County I, Samuel Magill, Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas of Parke County, Ind. do hereby certify that the within annexed will and testament of Sarah Parker, has been duly admitted to probate and duly proved by the testimony of Samuel A. Smith, one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, that a complete record of said Will, and of the testimony of the said S. A. Smith in proof thereof has been by me duly made and recorded in Book 2, at pages 272 and 273 of the Record of Wills of said county.
