He and Rebekah Reed (or Read) were married in North Carolina and first show up on the Tennessee Census records in 1820. They came first to Robertson County, Tennessee and then moved to Henry County, Tennessee, where Rebekah died before 1850. In 1851, James, at the age of 70, married Rebecca Killebrew Barton in Henry County, Tennessee. He died in Henry County in 1852. I hope this is some help to you.
