Parker (some census indexes list him as Robert L. Parker), born 1825 in Alabama, county unknown. His father's name is unknown, but according to 1880 Census for Robert, he was born in North Carolina. Robert S. Parker is on the 1850 Arkansas Census in Bradley County with mother Nancy Parker, born 1799 in South Carolina; also brother William S. Parker (also in indexes as William L. Parker), and sisters Adeline, born 1831 in Alabama and Ailcy, born 1833 in Alabama. Robert S. Parker married Mary Elizabeth McCauley in 1852. She was the daughter of Daniel McCauley and Martha Wyatt, who moved to Arkansas from Haywood County, Tennessee. Robert and family moved to the Little Rock area in the 1870's. William died in the 1860's after serving in the Civil War. Adeline married Titus Carr and they both died before 1880. It's not known what became of Nancy Parker or Ailcy Parker. My ggg-grandmother was Nancey C Parker (Alabama) married James J Black (Ten! nessee) in Bradley County Arkansas. According to the marriage documents the Green S Parker married Nancey Searugg. Any clues appreciated. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
