I am particularly interested in relatives of Lyman T. Parker of Huron County (1820-1886) and his son George Parker (1847-1895). They later resettled to Lansing,Michigan but are from Ohio. We believe they had a rare form of Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS) that is hereditary (SOD1 A4V mutation). We are working to determine the ancestral line and perhaps connecting to a related family would help us understand the patterns of this disease. Lou Gehrig's Disease is a progressive paralytic disease that also may have been known as a muscular dystrophy, progressive neuralgia, consumption of the nerves, creeping palsy, etc. Any connections would be helpful! Thank you Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
