Unknown who was several decades his junior, and David Parker's birthdate was listed as 1848. The daughter Rachel was born 1898. On 1910 census, David Harrell Parker and his wife remained in Murfreesboro, Hertford Co. NC and had Rachel H. Before the 1920 census, David Harrell Parker had died in North Carolina, and the census listed another daughter, Audrey Parker. By 1930 Census, Rachel Parker, daughter of David and Marcia Parker, married Walter B. Gerard, and they lived in Beaufort, NC. Her mother, widow Marcia/Martha Parker, lived with them. The family position of Audrey Parker is unclear, based upon details found on her 1964 Durham NC death certificate as filed by Eunice Parker, her daughter? Although she had earlier been enumerated by Marcia Parker as a daughter on censuses, Audrey was understood to be a child of an Ella Cozart and James H. Parker and had suffered her entire life with debilitating endocrine, musculoskeletal, and renal illnesses.
