I just had a DNA match (4th-6th cousin) with someone else who listed Matthew E Parker in their line. I haven't confirmed their information, but some of the family names are similar. I noticed that his father was shown to come from North Carolina in the 1880 census, and I can confirm my line back to William G Parker born in Edgecombe, NC in 1803. William's gravestone confirms that his birthplace is Edgecombe, NC, but he headed to Mississippi & Texas. I haven't been able to identify William's parents either, but the DNA suggests that there might be a link. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
