Parker, on 15 Jan 1853. This would fit. I know you say that Samuel Parker died in 1855, but this was not at Norfolk, but close by, I know. I found a grave for Samuel Parker, died August 10, 1851 whose grave marker says: "Aged 40 Years, Leaving a wife and three children to mourn their loss. Was for many years a merchant in this City." The grave is at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Norfolk, Virginia. Perhaps Susan remarried. Josephine married in 1856 and Eliza married in 1857. This would account for the Susan L. Carey showing up as mother on their marriage bond. Georgiana married in 1851, before the Samuel mentioned above, so the name Susan Carey wouldn't apply to her marriage. I know that in 1870 and 1880, Susan is with a child and back to the name Parker. Perhaps the marriage didn't last or the Carey husband died. Would appreciate your thoughts on all this.
