Her book was researched and written years before YDNA testing was available. It is based on similar early non-YDNA research and family lore. The book focuses on the Riddick family and other interactive surnames in Nansemond, including Parker, Powell, Hunter, Stone, Runyan, and Duke. Her work contains very nice maps, lots of generational listings with dates and all, and readable stories. So the Parker associations in her book are mainly geographical and occasionally matrimonial. Identifying Family Groups for any of those seems implausible. The targeted Parker references online do seem like good marketing ideas, however. The author herself was a Runyan who married a Riddick. Edgar Lee Riddick who now sells the books is her son. Good luck in your research. Patricia Ross Parker, researching FG#7 Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
