Where they got that weird name, one only can guess. My thinking is that it is maybe a combination of names of parents? I am sure that Eliza decided, at some time, that she wanted to drop the name as it was and go by Eliza but that her parents or John White, decided to go with her more formal name. I am thinking she was born Johnanna Eliza Parker. She and John named their daughter, my husband's Great great grandmother, Anna Elizabeth White ... she went by Annie Elizabeth.
