This is probably a nickname. It belonged to my gg grandmother, Mary Parker Cochran. They were siblings. They may have been born in Polk County, NC between 1854 - 1880. Mary lived in Spartanburg, SC area. Shug had a daughter named Mollie. She married A. T. Wray. They may have lived in Charleston, SC in 1913. (I have a letter with that return address.)
