Their parents, Sarah Jane Beattie & Carl Irving Parker, died in 1919. After their parents' deaths, Carl was living with Goldie & Oscar Messenger in Billerica, Mass, & Silas was living with Mary & Henry Clarence Finkler in Malden, Mass.
