I've "rescued" an old photograph of Minnie VARNEY which was taken at the Lamson Studio in Portland, Maine. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Minnie appearing to be in her 20's or 30's at the time it was taken. In addition to her name, someone has written "married 3 times, third husband Ernest WALDRON" on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following census information: 1880 census of Portland, ME: Oris PARKER, age 70, born ME, a Farmer, parents born ME Verlena PARKER, wife, age 64, born ME, Keeping House, parents born ME Louise EMERY, step-dau, age 36, a widow, born ME, a Dressmaker, parents born ME Eugene VARNEY, step-son, age 24, born ME, a Painter, parents born ME Minnie VARNEY, step-dau, age 18, born ME, at Home, parents born ME Grace VARNEY, granddau, age 18, born ME, parents born ME 1920 census of Portland, ME: Ernest H. WALDRON, age 61, born ME, parents born ME/MA, a Wholesale Clerk Armenia N. WALDRON, wife, age 57, born MA, parents born ME/MA Royal H. WALDRON, son, age 16, born MA, parents born ME/MA, a General Repair Machinist I am hoping to locate someone from her family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of her family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
