It looks like you've done a lot of research on James Reed Butler, but he actually was living in Oakland Co, MI the whole time. 1870 - he is in Avon Twp, Oakland Co with his 2nd wife Dora (Dorothy) Smith, a son Orman, and his mother Lydia (REED). 1880 - James is again in Avon Twp with his wife Dora and children Orman & Elizabeth. Hiram & Emily's son, Fred Stewart Parker is my gg grandfather. I have been searching, without much luck, on information about Hiram PARKER's parents & siblings.
