My John Parker died leaving a will in Duplin Co., NC in 1788 naming wife, Elizabeth, and children: Peter Sarah Rachel Mary At least two other children were not named: my Asa Parker b. 1775 NC and Jacob Parker b. 1777 NC. I cannot imagine why not, can you? The will was written in 1785. My Asa Parker moved to Jefferson Co., GA by 1803 when he married Phoebe Wood b. 1786 GA. Does anyone know who her parents were? Does anyone have a copy of the will John Wood left in 1805 in Jefferson Co., GA? A copy was not found in the Courthouse there. As a son of this couple was named John Wood/s Parker, this could be an important lead for me. Asa Parker and some others moved to Monroe Co., AL by 1830 and on to Lauderdale Co., MS by 1840. Jacob Parker was a Baptist minister and lived in several counties in MS including Perry and Wayne. I also would like a copy of the will and inventory William Parker of Lauderdale Co., MS left in about 1858. I would love to compare notes with interested persons!
